Who we are
Szylla provides automated corporate investigations and risk analysis. For the purposes of UK data protection law we are the controller of the personal data described on this page. You can reach us at Cavendish Laboratory, JJ Thomson Ave, Cambridge CB3 0HE, United Kingdom, or by email at enquiries@szylla.ai.
What this page covers
This page covers szylla.ai: these pages, and the deck and materials served from them. Investigations carried out for a client are governed by the engagement agreement with that client, not by this page.
What we collect
- What you send us. If you write to us, request a demo or make an enquiry, we hold your message and the details in it — typically your name, your email address, your organisation, and whatever you choose to tell us.
- Server logs. Our host records the technical details of each request, including IP address, time, page requested and browser type. These logs are kept for a short period for security and to keep the site running.
This site sets no cookies of its own, and we run no analytics, advertising or tracking on it. See the Cookie Policy for the detail.
Why we hold it, and on what basis
We use what you send us to answer you, to discuss whether we can help, and to keep a record of our correspondence. The lawful basis is our legitimate interest in responding to people who contact us and in running our business, and, where we go on to work together, the performance of our agreement with you.
Who else sees it
- Hosting. The site is served by Vercel Inc., which processes request data on our behalf.
- Email. Messages you send reach us through our email provider.
- Fonts. Typefaces are loaded from Google Fonts. Your browser requests those files directly, so your IP address is visible to that provider when a page loads.
We do not sell personal data, and we do not share it for anyone else's marketing. Some of these providers operate outside the United Kingdom; where data is transferred abroad it is protected by the safeguards those providers have in place, such as standard contractual clauses.
How long we keep it
Correspondence is kept while a conversation is live and for as long afterwards as we need it for our business records. Server logs are kept briefly. When data is no longer needed it is deleted.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you can ask us for a copy of the personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct it or delete it, ask us to restrict how we use it, object to our using it, and ask for it in a portable form. Write to enquiries@szylla.ai and we will respond within one month.
If you think we have handled your data badly, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk. We would rather you told us first, so we have the chance to put it right.
Changes
If this page changes, the date at the top changes with it.
